A Common iPod Movie and DVD Quandary

Posted by Carl on Dec 27, 2008 in Good Going

My wife just got a high priced iPod Touch for her work anniversary. She received one with a good deal of memory capable of keeping all her music, photos and even some of her preferred films. She was originally really thrilled about the movie feature, but was subsequently unfulfilled when she realized that iTunes did not offer a path to rip DVDs to the iPod device.

She came to me and pronounced she was going to have to re-buy all of our films from iTunes in the true data format for iPod usage. I pronounced that was preposterous, we already paid more a 1000 bucks on our movie collection. I assured her I would research a means to get our existing movies on her fancy iPod.

I started exploring using Google and finally located a handful of highly ranked programs made specifically to rip DVD to iPod data format. These computer programs were referred to as DVD to iPod Ripper software. I read some customer critical reviews and eventually settled on the Avex DVD to iPod Converter. It was obviously the top rated app when it came to the DVD to iPod reviews.

I liked it because it came with a no cost demo version. I tried it out with a movie and was amazed how easy it was to use and the high quality of the outputted video and sound. Purchasing it was a no brainer. I went onward and paid the full cost, which was just a scrimpy $30. This was a great savings compared to the idea of having to purchase every flick we already held once again!

Subsequently I purchased it, I spent a couple of seconds showing my wife how to run it. She is not the most computer savvy soul, but she was easily efficient to use the computer software. If she can run it, I have no doubt anyone can (just do not let her learn that I pronounced that!).
