So you have decided to come to Maui or any of the other islands of Hawaii. If this is your first trek to paradise, there are many things you should know about obtaining the kind of places to stay that you desire in Hawaii.

One of the most important pieces of information that you will want to learn is to find the accommodation at which you will stay for your vacation. If you are staying on Oahu or any other island, you can find the right Hawaii Accommodations with a little searching. Take a look at a lot different properties in other to find the best resorts on the island of your choice.

If you are coming to Hawaii to have a Hawaii Vow Renewal, you might want to seriously consider a trip to Maui. It is the best of the islands for sunset vow renewals, which is shown by the fact that half of all weddings in Hawaii take place on Maui.

If you sincerely desire to save money, the best way to coordinate your trip is to put together your airplane flight, accommodations and auto rental as part of a package. All of those vendors will make you a much better deal than if you ordered those services independent of each other. So, what’s the best way to get a travel package deal? Simple. . .

Use an independent travel agent (such as myself), who can give you the kind of personalized service that is so lacking from the do-it-yourself Internet travel sites. You want an agent who specializes in being a Hawaii travel expert. It shouldn’t cost you any extra money to call her toll free number, and get answers about making your trip to Hawaii the vacation of a lifetime.

The USB Record Player Brings Old Music Back To Life

Posted by Carl on Jan 28, 2009 in Good Going

There was a time when we kept all our old 78s in the loft, and never to see the light of day again. However, as vinyl is seeing a resurgence on the music scene more and more people are using the power of the PC to convert their old vinyl music into the latest digital formats.

So why all the fuss and how easy is it to convert all your old vinyl? Well, trust me. It really is simple. All you need is one of the latest USB Turntables. The you need your PC and s/w supplied with the record player.

It’s then a matter of plugging the record player into your PC through one of the USB ports. Start up the converting software and then stick on your favourite LP. It’s really that simple and very much plug and play.

If you plan to convert ALL your old vinyl and you have a mixture of 33s, 45s or 78s then make sure that your USB Record Player can handle the latter speed or at least the converting software can deal with it.

Plus, make sure the converting software also gets rid of all the scratches and blips that old vinyl was always renound for. Or of course you may just want to leave that in, as it’s all part of the nostalgia of listening to old music.

Some of the brand names to watch out for are ION & KAM. Both make a range of USB turntables that cost from around $60. And if you are looking for something higher quality e.g. a turntable that can record directly to your iPod then expect to pay at least another $75.

So, what are you waiting for? Get searching for your old records and give them a new lease of life. And you might even convince your kids that old music is way better than all that so called noises they call music today!
