Posted by Carl on Oct 11, 2009 in Good Going

If you are to prosper in a competitive online market then you’ll need some handy tools to help you to reach your goal. You’ll be losing so much revenue if you were to hire website designers to build you a custom site or script for every website you’re going to build. This is why people and organisations have done the hard work for you – for free.

Here is a list of a sample of the recommended free php scripts available to download and install within minutes, not only are they all very useful but they will save you a considerable amount of time and money.

1) One of the most popular scripts out there is WordPress, which I am certain you’re already aware of. This blogging system has been on the market for a long time now and nearly every blogger out there has or will use this system at some time. Its high end coding even allows the user to create their own mods and design themes to change the look of their blog.

2) Another superb free php script would be Dolphin, a social networking script that enables you (the owner) to setup your own social network like Facebook, Myspace, Bebo, etc. Completely free of charge! This script can be edited very easily and you can alter the design with some small edits. It’s a huge script so it may take a while to get familiarised to it, but this is a fantastic script that should be downloaded even if you’re not interested in social networking.

3) Drupal is a leading content management system which is available for free. It’s more or less another WordPress system, but different in its own way and not specifically for bloggers. Drupal is aimed at giving webmasters a CMS (Content Management System) that makes life easier when managing content and members. Not only does Drupal provide a superb open source CMS but it is built so that coders can produce some useful mods and addons to the system which can make life easier for other webmasters.

These are merely 3 of the most popular free php scripts out there and definitely 3 of the best. There are many other php scripts out there that makes life easier for website developers & programmers but you will not find anything better than these specifically for the niche they’re used for.

This will allow you to discover the cheapest rates with the greatest amount of ease.

How To Have A Successful Scrapbooking Class

Posted by Carl on Oct 11, 2009 in Good Going

When teaching a scrapbooking class, you may think that it is a fairly simple operation. You rent the space, bring your supplies, get people to come, and off we go. However, it may not be that simple.

Whenever you’re dealing with people, you can always expect the unexpected. The human dynamic always comes into play when dealing with a room full of people. Even though we’re dealing with the teacher/student relationship, you can’t always count on an attentive, focused class. With that being said, there are a few tried and tested things you need to keep in mind to be successful scrapbooking instructor.

First and foremost, be prepared. Review your class materials the night before so they are fresh in your mind. Have a checklist of everything that you need to take along to a class. Show up early and have the room set up before people arrive. Students feel most comfortable with order, so this will give you a leg up.

Be enthusiastic. Even if you are feeling sluggish or having a bad day, you need to always be enthusiastic and smiling during your classes. Let your students catch your excitement about scrapbooking and your job will be easier.

Be personable. Try to make eye contact and/or talk to each and every person in your class. Keep an eye out for anyone that may need extra attention and be willing to offer help to them if needed.

Always thank everyone for coming to class. Remember, people have many work, family, and entertainment demands on their time – they don’t have to come to your class. Have evaluations forms that can be filledout and use them to improve any future classes.

Take some of the money you earned and send out personal, hand written Thank You cards to all the students who attended your event.  Since you’ll probably be hosting other classes, they’ll remember your personal touch and are more likely to come back for more classes.

If you remember these tips, you can always be assured of having full attendance for all of your scrapbooking classes.

Critical Illness Insurance The Details

Posted by Carl on Oct 11, 2009 in Good Going

Summary
A factual document looking into life cover , which critical illnesses are covered and which are not and the concomitant facts. Read this article

amalgamatelife insurance cover and critical illness cover , paying out a claim for either critical illness or Death, whichever takes place first

If you are found to have a grave condition, then a critical illness insurance policy will settle a claim with a tax-free lump sum.

The conditions listed below are not covered by critical illness insurance

Diseases are only covered if they are precisely within the insurance covers classification. If a condition is classed as insufficiently severe, such as some types of cancer, it will not be covered.

Likewise, after once reaching a certain age, some policies do not cover specific illnesses. For instance many insurers will not cover Alzheimer’s if diagnosed after the age of sixty.

Plus, many insurance policies do not insure for:

HIV- and Aids-connected conditions – except for, comtamination from a blood transfusion, owing to physical assault or from working within the emergency services, health service or the Military.

Participating in hazardous sports and pastimes; Flying – besides normal passenger flights; Alcohol or drug abuse; Injuries, self-inflicted

Not complying with medical advice

Critical illness insurance does cover the illness shown below
To be named critical illness a policy must follow a set procedure and offer some of the following.

Acutely advanced cancer cases; Heart attacks – if they are sufficiently serious; Strokes – making symptoms permanent. On the other hand,a large amount of policies insure for more than these three illnesses. Bypass surgery, kidney failure, multiple sclerosis and major organ surgery are generally covered in basic plans.

Incuable blindess and deafness and permanent paralysis, that prevent you earning a living, are insured in all-inclusive plans. Some cover against loss of a limb.

War, rioting or civil commotion; A number of policies settle a claim over and above a “survival period” of normally twenty four days, not on on confirmation of illness. If you die within 25 days of meeting the insurance policies conditions, no settlement will be made.

Critical illness insurance – Where to get it
An independent financial adviser or broker will direct you on obtaining critical illness insurance as plans change such a lot. They are able to assist in which policy is best suited to your needs.

They will also advise how much insurance and for what length of time you might need it and if criticial illness insurance and life cover amalgated would be a better buy.

No policy will pay out a claim if you previously suffered from a severe disease when you purchased the cover. It could possibly be the similar if you previously visited your Doctor regarding a complaint that turned out to be critical critical.

When buying for insurance it is imperative that you answer question correctly.“Material facts” that are not divulged could end in claimsbeen turned down.

Monthly payments
Premiums change depending on a number of factors, for examplethe amount you want the policy to pay out, if you smoke, age and the policy chosen.

Placing a claim
Make sure you keep to the life insurance guidelines, if you place a claim. The policy, for instance, may demand a diagnosis from a United Kingdom medicial practitioner who specialises in treatments connected with your condition. A General Practitioners diagnosis may not be sufficient.

Your pay out will be revoked if your serious illness does not comply with any definitions listed in your policy .

Choices
Income protection insurance is sometimes a better selection for some. If, as effect of an accident or illness (not specifically severe) you incapable of working then you will receive a tax-free income.
